Elena Henshaw
Elena Henshaw is a Russian artist based in Oxford. She
works in oils and pastels to create a vibrant multi-layered effect.
Her subjects range from portraiture to landscape and still life. Elena
likes painting ordinary things as this is a chance to
re-view an object that one might have seen a dozen of times, and to
realise that it holds the seed of work of art. She often treats her
painting as enjoyable puzzle
the endless series of tasks exploring lines, shapes, colours, textures
and edges.
Elena is a regular exhibitor and participates in numerous
art shows locally and nationally, such as Oxford Artweeks, Woodstock
Art Festival, Annual Art Exhibitions in Goring, Pangbourne, Worcester
and others, as well as at the Fringe Art Festival in Bath and Fulham
Summer Show in London.
